One of the immigration lawyers I talked to said that photocopy should be fine.
Photocopy of your I-140 approval is the only document required. One of my friend is going for a PD transfer next month - will keep the forum posted on how it goes.

If you have some friends who you know have successfully executed an EB-2 I-140 based on a job zone 4 occupational classification (such as software engineer), I'd consult with your friends attorneys, then switch attorneys if they think they can help you.
xbohdpukc - very interesting. Did you get an EB-2 I-140 approval based on that software engineer occupational classification? The issue at hand is not whether the LC will get approved, that is relatively straightforward. It's whether an EB-2 I-140 will be approved based on a LC for a job zone 4 occupation.

MSNBC message boards>Code of Conduct>Gut Check America>Employment Based (EB) Skilled Immigration Applicants board: (http://boards.msn.com/MSNBCboards/thread.aspx?boardid=1042&threadid=314286)
Since the beginning of this century, USA has been a leader in innovation, technology and products & services. In contrast, there is total inefficiency and red tape in government departments dealing with immigration (is it because '?them').
The immigration issues revolve around the DOL, UCCIS and DOS etc. They should grow and mature, showing efficiency and productivity. For that a new mindset is needed fortified with human resources and budget appropriations. My labor clearance was stuck in SWAs and backlog centers for 3 years. I talked to the SWA officer in charge in my state of CO. He said, this is federal work and there is no money appropriated.
Here is the showcase of how the USCIS works on legal ALIENS(from reliable Ombudsman report):
FBI Namecheck status (pg. 37 of the report)
As of May 2007, USCIS reported a staggering 329,160 FBI name check cases pending, with approximately 64 percent (211,341) of those cases pending more than 90 days and approximately 32 percent (106,738) pending more than one year. While the percentages of long-pending cases compared to last year are similar, the absolute numbers have increased. There are now 93,358 more cases pending the name check than last year. Perhaps most disturbing, there are 31,144 FBI name check cases pending more than 33 months as compared to 21,570 last year over a 44 percent increase in the number of cases pending more than 33 months.
It is easy to see how border fence, employment verification, Border Control, DOL, FBI, USCIS will TOTALLY fail when you bring in 12 to 20 mil. I see no hope, eihter for anybody. No wonder, many are shouting at the top of their voices voicing strong objection.

Dude, with all due respect, I am serious about all the precautionary measures I told. In fact it was one of my American colleague who sent out a similar list some time ago( I believe a year ago, when a similar incident happened to one lady at a parking lot), to all the team members.
It was claimed based on some statistics, if a person who hijacks a car, more often (about 90%) the perpetrator kills the driver. Its a fact.
Its not paranoia, its something if you keep in mind, then there is very good chance to come out alive form that dreadful predicament. God forbid, it could happen to anybody.
[QUOTE]Most of these incidents are straight forward. The bag guy asks for money, the good guy refuses or tries to put up a fight and gets shot. When you’re faced with a mugger/carjacker, always comply with their demands and leave quickly. That’s it.
Really??!!! I totally disagree with you on this. I have seen in Detroit, where poor Indians got killed "execution" style, in a dunkin donut store, they didn't put up a fight or refused. They could barely speak proper english. They were all bound, face down, and shot in the head. Now don't tell me its an isolated incident and it would not happen again...time and time again these things happen. So, if you think if we dont resist and head to all the demands of the robbers, they would let you go, then you are wrong, my friend. You got 50-50 chance they would let you go.
I agree, we need to be cautious of the surroundings. But no to the paranoid level of checking out every hiding place or hitting a wall/pillar
There is no paranoia here...just a mild glance in the back window is a good practice before getting in once car.
And your assertion that only psycho's kill, is wrong. Common robbers too kill people after robbing.

Can somebody answer this question of mine please.
Hi,
I filed my I485 in Texas service center because at the time of filing it I was living in a state which was in TSC's jurisdiction. The application is still pending in TSC.
I have not filed any AP so far. I am filing it first time now.
Now I have moved to a state which is in Nebraska Service Center's jurisdiction. So should I file my AP in NSC or in TSC?

my labor has to be pending 365 days or have an 140 approved to extend. so if pp goes away for 140 then my only option to stay in status is EAD. Also I am not in IT so patni, tcs etc...is out of question.
If you had a approved 140, you'd get 3-year extensions. If it is pending, you could still get 1 year extension.
While I'm sure about this rule, you should check with the attorney.

Can some one clarify if the PD is based on the day labor application was received or the day it was approved?
