This is not new, I was advised the same by my attorneys. I have heard "internet rumors" of people successfully filing EB-2 for job descriptions such as senior software engineer and senior systems analyst, which are normally classified as job zone 4. However, I was advised by two different law firms that this is not possible. According to both attorneys I consulted, you must get a job zone 5 classification to file EB-2. Note that "information technology manager" is job zone 5, so if you're in a senior position and supervising people (e.g., a manager or even a team lead), you may be able to obtain this classification.

What can Obama do when most of the Republicans are dead against the immigration reform. They didn't allow their own party president to pass the CIR. Do you think they will allow Obama to do it?
He won't be able to pass any new laws anymore, they can't even agree on a budget. Forget any other controversial topic. BUT , when he ran for the office, he had promised to fix "the broken immigration system" within the first year of his office. He hasn't kept many of his major promises and is highly doubtful to get re-elected if the Republicans have a strong candidate(disclaimer: Trump isn't a strong candidate)
We're bound to be in this rut for a very long time if we want to stay here!

I have couple friends who moved to Australia 3-4 years back, they love it. they mentioned that they have already applied for citizenship. 3 years back we decided against migrating there because our PD was almost current, we are still waiting. :)

One thing that forces you to believe its true is the date itself, why 8 MAY ? it somehow paints a picture that somebody did calculated the remaining visa numbers and arrived at the exact comfortable date. Guys, chances are its fake, but you never know. :)
Folks, we need to stay hopeful. If you notice the date towards end is 9th august which would mean VB should have been released today which didn't happen. The release date for last few VB is also 9th. It doesn't take too much effort to copy an old bulletin and replace month with September and change some dates here and there with likely dates which would still look very authentic. Seems like someone hacked into this no name website for sadistic pleasure...someone who is not very pleased with significant EB2 movements in last 2 months.
The formating is also off. All other pages have a professional look. Why would the webmaster of a professional firm not pay attention to this. This indeed looks like a cheap hacking trick done in a bit haste. I am quite positive that real september VB with Q's predictions coming true will come tomorrow :) So my suggestion is to relax and have a good night sleep. Next day truth will reveal itself

this is my 10th year in the US & never had a single incident along the racial lines.. probably I lucked out.. However, I don't subscribe to this opinion of removing moustache..... I am proud of my bushy moustache & have had women admire that at/outside work.. But I do agree 100% on all the other points you raised..

From some of the posts I found that some folks are concerned that it took so long to find and recognize talent from India at Oscars. Some felt Richard Attenborough's and Danny Boyle's movies got recognition whereas other Indian directors are not reaching the pinnacle.
Even though OSCAR is recognized globally, it is an American movie award (Yes there are exceptions in some categories of OSCAR -- such as Foreign Movies etc). So, because of that reason, normal Indian and other Foreign movies are not eligible to be considered for the OSCAR. It is the same reason why Hollywood movies are not getting awards at the National Film awards in India!!!
What I meant was, a particular movie has to meet certain eligibility criteria to be considered for the OSCARs. So, if a Bollywood movie directed by a Bollywood director meets those criteria, that movie can compete in the OSCARs.
So, In essence there is not that much discrimination at Hollywood - I found Hollywood as a place which embraces all cultures and beliefs. Hollywood is the real catalyst for the American melting pot theme.
This argument is not a personal one targeted at anyone. So - Please try to avoid personal level attacks - Instead criticize the argument - that will make this argument more interesting!

1) I would go with travelers cheq's like "srinithati" mentioned. That way it wont be a problem asking someone to bring along with them when travelling from India to USA
2) If you still have any money on your NRI account , check to see if its re-patriatable type. If you what-ever money you have on you URI account ( except the minimum balance you might need to keep you can convert back to dollars.
3) May eb we should think about Hawala ( India -> USA ) due to these conversion rates

After reading your post, I just called the ICICI customer support and checked with them. They told me that I cannot get anything from my ICICI NRO account unless otherwise it is for education or for medical purpose.
I am not sure how you got your money from ICICI. May be you had put USD and got it back sometime later. Have you tried to bring back INR from ICICI account? If yes, let me know what you did.
Two years back the limit was $25,000 per year. It seems substantially higher now. I did it through a one stop process at ICICI. Not cumbersome at all.
I am not sure if it is as difficult as is everyone's impression in this thread.

I am not saying that it is working on the USCIS. We dont know yet coz the flowers start reaching there tommorow. If it is working on USCIS, we would know by the end of the week. Not now.
But it is working on the media.
What I am saying is we are getting a good amount of attention from a lot of newspapers - which is important to create more awareness on the plight of half a million law abiding immigrants and the backlogs they are facing.

Sorry!If it was rude!!No offence meant...Me thinks it is more of a pain than gain!!Like what if your 485 gets approved b4 u file for your spouse's...There are still solutions as much as problems!!It would only benefit guys who are desperate for EAD but then again if you have your I-140 cleard and with serious retrogressions expected you could still get 3 year H1B extensions!!!
