There is no point in dignifying "plainspeak"'s hatred and abuses with a response since wallowing in the dirt with a rotten pig like him would only cause more harm. He has been sending me abusive and threatening PMs as well which I have been ignoring. Maybe that's his definition of being productive for the community. Being a "senior" member in name only doesn't count. Bringing down the efforts of your own EB community is worse than being an anti- immigrant.

You know what I dont even know how to send a IM to anyone on this forum. All i know is to read posts and reply to post and create new posts. Wow this takes the cake. Now things makes sense.
I did not send im to anyone but since forever_waiting says i did there could be only 3 explanations
1. forever_waiting cannot hold a discussion and is losing a disucssion and is abusing me and lying to everyone else that i sent him abusive messages. This could be because he has to lie to prove himself better than me and show me in bad light.
2. Some one else this forum has sent abusive messages to forever_waiting to use him as a cats paw against me without divulging their own motives to discredit me.
A. Could it be someone else on the forum who does not like my arguments and wants to diss me. But if that would be the case that person would abuse me directly in reply to my posts and IM me directly because if someone is genuinly angry with someone else that person will say it out in the open but will NOT try to do something behind the back
B. Could it be some one who is in a position of authority in IV and cannot argue with me face to face cause that will show their opinion in the open forum to everyone and is using forever_waiting without him knowing about it or is in collusion with forever_waiting and playing this game

We should also be debating why the PD for Mexico EB3 is higher than India when they have more people in the queue before their PD. I would take the numbers with a grain of salt or at the least not forget the past... as someone said if we dont learn from our history, history will repeat itself.
You are 100% right. IV Core also got wrong data from CIS. Core is following up with the CIS. But as you said, EB3-I will not get any spill overs. There are 45K EB3-I's and we see hardly 100-200 in this forum. We need many people and I feel still people do not realize the grave situation.

The reporter doesn't know what he/she is talking about. I have seen a lot of inaccurate information coming from Indian media about visa increases but this has to be the worst one. It not only claims that the visa increase amendment has passed in the Senate but also that minimum wage bill is yet to be considered by the house. This bill was passed by the house in the first 100 hour marathon.
I don't know from where this reporter gets his information from .. may be from immigration-law.com. :)

This survey intends to understand the needs of our membership for this provision and collect grassroots information.

So far we have around 1100 people who have responded. Based on quick calculations carried out using PERM data, it is estimated that there are at least 60K-70K EB applicants waiting to file I-485/EAD/AP (this is a very conservative estimate..the actual number could be much more). Grass-roots initiatives require time and patience and we request maximum number of impacted folks to participate actively.

There are no 2 ways to this.. it is injustice and screwed up process of DOL and USCIS.....but the situation (DOL) is no different than 1 day ago. it should not warrant you to start this thread.

Will he have to again wait untill the regular quotas kick in? In other words can he simply transfer his H-1B to a profit organization at any time of the year regardless of the availability H-1B visas in the numbered-cap/quota system? Thanking in advance,

This is the most insane reason i can think of.GC itself is a distant dream leave alone citizenship...and Aging parents...do you really know if they want to reside in this country here permenantly.3-4 months are over and they just want to escape from here coz they just dont like.And some mean children bring their parents to do nursery/take care of their children as free home nannies with paid airfare,boarding and lodging with food.
That is not the case with me. My kid goes to day care and I always keep it that way. As far as them being happy here is concerned then yes I would agree they won't have much social interaction here as they have right now living in small town in India. But for me, as I am sure with many others the choice is not simple. Either I let them live alone where I am not there to take care of them or have them live with us here and they would rather choose the latter.
Anyways, I think we should not take this thread into another direction.

I agree. The last time I spoke to one of the admins he said that we will have to add our Case Numbers to make our letter/request more strong. This is understandable because otherwise how would they know whether we made up the names/list or if its real.
I doubt that there will be any implications if we add our cases, it would give them a reason investigate or inquire why Atlanta is taking so long, to say the least.

As you might be knowing currently there is backlog for green cards. Unless some rules are modified you and me will not get green card in next five years. Specifically it is much serious condition for people from India, China, Philippines and Several such other countries. As they send lot of highly skilled immigrants and each country have fixed quota for employment based green card.
I know some of you have not yet started working on your green cards. But when you will start, you will realize that it is like doing another master or Ph.D. !!
Above group is formed by people who came here on student or H-1B visa. They are trying to fight for immigration reform for highly skilled immigrants. When you read or listen any thing about immigration you listen only about undocumented or illegal immigrants. No one talks about improving immigration situation for employment based highly skilled immigrants. Those very few from the business group who talks about highly skilled, are only interested in increasing H-1B, so that they can get more educated employees. But if you work on H-1 you will know H-1B has several limitation like inability to change employer, spouse can not work etc. So it is very important to get Green Card as early as you can, if you are on student or H-1b visa.
In current situation even if you are wise and quick enough to decide to act quickly for green card, you can not do any thing except sending papers to USCIS ( INS) and paying their fee and wait endless till you get frustrated and depressed. If you are waiting for your green card you already know it. If you have not you will know it soon. Green card is almost invisible for Highly skilled immigrants from India, China, Philippines and several other countries residents, because of backlogs, country quotas, FBI name check delays, Labor Certification delays and backlogs etc. (Some of these words may be new to you. )
Employment based green card for highly skilled immigrant fall in EB-1, EB-2 and Eb-3 categories. Even if you have PhD and university job , you do not qualify for EB-1.
and that is only open category. For Eb-1 you need tenure track appointment at University with several years of experience, around 20 research papers and several international awards etc. Those who apply for Eb-2 or EB-3 or NIW ( national interest Wavier) should not hope for green card in next five years under current situation
This excellent group of people comprising of many bright people from India, China and many other countries around world, is very active in Washington D.C to change the above situation in our favor. Though it was formed in 2006 only it has around 10,000 members. All of them are fighting for our green card.
I urge you to take look at their website. I am sure you will be impressed by the work they have done in last one year for highly skilled immigrants. They have already established strong political contacts and are using lobbyist to pursuer changes in laws in our favor. This is right time for you to get involved with your future green card process by supporting this organization so that they become successful in their mission.

Lawyers just fill forms (you need to check that three times before submitting !!!) and never promise to get you anything. This organization, I am sure with your, mine and other members support will get lot of work done in Washigton D C. So that probably you will not need lawyer for your green card application, and it will become very easy for you to file for Green Card. They had done lot more than what they promised. This is very important organization working for your and mine benefit. This is group of people like you and me who are leading fight for immigration reform for highly skilled immigrants who have high skill jobs or have U.S. master or higher degree.
As you might be knowing currently there is backlog for green cards. Unless some rules are modified you and me will not get green card in next five years. Specifically it is much serious condition for people from India, China, Philippines and Several such other countries. As they send lot of highly skilled immigrants and each country have fixed quota for employment based green card.
I know some of you have not yet started working on your green cards. But when you will start, you will realize that it is like doing another master or Ph.D. !!
Above group is formed by people who came here on student or H-1B visa. They are trying to fight for immigration reform for highly skilled immigrants. When you read or listen any thing about immigration you listen only about undocumented or illegal immigrants. No one talks about improving immigration situation for employment based highly skilled immigrants. Those very few from the business group who talks about highly skilled, are only interested in increasing H-1B, so that they can get more educated employees. But if you work on H-1 you will know H-1B has several limitation like inability to change employer, spouse can not work etc. So it is very important to get Green Card as early as you can, if you are on student or H-1b visa.
In current situation even if you are wise and quick enough to decide to act quickly for green card, you can not do any thing except sending papers to USCIS ( INS) and paying their fee and wait endless till you get frustrated and depressed. If you are waiting for your green card you already know it. If you have not you will know it soon. Green card is almost invisible for Highly skilled immigrants from India, China, Philippines and several other countries residents, because of backlogs, country quotas, FBI name check delays, Labor Certification delays and backlogs etc. (Some of these words may be new to you. )
Employment based green card for highly skilled immigrant fall in EB-1, EB-2 and Eb-3 categories. Even if you have PhD and university job , you do not qualify for EB-1.
and that is only open category. For Eb-1 you need tenure track appointment at University with several years of experience, around 20 research papers and several international awards etc. Those who apply for Eb-2 or EB-3 or NIW ( national interest Wavier) should not hope for green card in next five years under current situation
This excellent group of people comprising of many bright people from India, China and many other countries around world, is very active in Washington D.C to change the above situation in our favor. Though it was formed in 2006 only it has around 10,000 members. All of them are fighting for our green card.

This is a great suggestion, and thinking ahead is the name of the game!
I guess after Dual CitizenShip now in operation majority people might be interested in Citizenship and why not avail those benefits US passport is welcome in 3/4 of the world, for all the people who have travelled knows how cumbersome immigration procedures are in various countries.
Anyway Phase 2 suggestion of lobbying for including the the number of years of leagally living here in the citizenship count and getting an "option" of becoming a citizen when GC is issued would be great (because most people who have applied there GCs have been here atleast 5 years :))
The Guys who already have GC should also support this idea as they will be benifited by this as well.
