I really like this idea. Core team should give this a serious thought. As macaca pointed out, it wouldn't make a difference to certain ppl, but should motivate quite a few others.
Is there any way to distinguish contributing members from non-contributing members when they post on forums ... something like adding a field to "Join date", etc. to show whether they are contributing. This will at least persuade some members to contribute out of shame...

I have enjoyed your amusing ranting. Call me anything you like. That will not not solve any problem. I am not a leader but a person of average intelligence capable of understanding the implication of the re-interpretation of the spill over rule on EB2. If you have the time, please read the comments of EB3worker. It would be better if we work unitedly towards visa recapture instead of trying to envy one group. The common goal is working towards Visa recapture. The forum cannot be hijacked by any group EB1/EB2/EB3.

Hi,
My labor certification was filed in Dec. '06. Since its date of filing, the online case status was showing as "in process". However, on 07/20/07, last week, the status changed to "case denied".
1) What are the next steps?
2) Do I need to refile the labor certification. If yes, how soon can it be done?
3) Can it be filed for the same position or it needs to be filed for a different position?
4) Should I find a new employer to file for labor certification as my current employer could not get my labor certification approved or I should stick with this employer itself and file for a new labor certification?
Please help me out.

When new system comes those who are in older system are impacted. That is always happening. If CIR comes with point system then those who are applying in 2008 will get gc within a few months and those who are waiting for years and years will wait for more years. So it depends on when you come and when you apply

assuming for a second that CIS is willing to give you a replacement card with 2-year validity, are you willing to send them the card you have finally received (after another nerve racking wait) so they can process your request? I don't think so...
BTW, there's a guy on Ron Gotcher's forum who's been issued a 2-year EAD eventhough his dates have been current for the last 4-months. Check this out: http://www.immigration-information.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5855

When I see EB3-China data in USCIS's work sheet I am getting shocked. How come EB3-China has a such a low pending number particularly comparing with Eb3-India?
That is the first point for me to generate doubts about the accuracy of the data.
Because! Most of the Chinese come to US to do MS and mostly apply in EB2. Not many come to US from China to work after Bachelors. Where as a lot of Indians come to work after bachelors and working in Indian companies for some time and so there is huge number of EB3 applications for India. Hope this makes sense???????

I have been doing a lot of research about this online and have even heard from friends that if you transfer your H1 to H4 and apply again for H1, your new H1 application is not counted against the H1B cap. How true is it? Has some one done this before ? Is there any risk involved? Any help would be really appreciated.

I have contacted congressmen and senators to try to highlight this issue and to be totally honest most of them have so little knowledge of immigration law they do not even understand the problem.
The CIS do not care, they follow the rules.
It is attention much higher up that is needed on Capitol Hill and someone who is willing to make it a REAL issue.

She obviously cannot wait till Oct 1st or she won't get paid for the first week (at least). Contact the SSN office to find out how soon you have to file. In my opinion, you are eligible to get an SSN the moment you receive work authorization (even if its for a future date).

I am in the same situation. I efiled on 05/14 and sent docs on 05/19. Got FP notice for wife only - that came almost 10 days back. No FP notice for me...My PD is same as urs.. not sure why did they not send FP notice for primary applicant?
Anyone else experienced this? Primary applicant not getting fingerprint notice after EAD e-file?
Did anyone get efiled EAD approval without fingerprints?
