In form G325A and 765 there is a question which ask all other name used , what should we write as our name is same as we have written in first and last name ( my maiden name and name after marriage is same )
also if there is no middle name should we leave the space blank or write N/A

It is going to be true. otherwise mathew wont shut down his work and post that AILF is going file law suit.
I am suspecting that they made current because of lobby made by some big heads inorder to get support to pass the immigration bill.
Since the immigration bill failed, DOS is going back to retrogression.

I sent emails to Ombudsman, NSC and SCO. Did not contact congressman. Opned SR's for me and my wife. Twice took Infopass, they have been pre-adjudicated, that's all.
All I got till now from USCIS is standard scripted emails.

IMO, stopping and working against fraud can be a bullet point in IV's portfolio. It could help IV while discussing issues with lawmakers.

Nonimmigrant Visa Number: is this the contraol number of H1B stamping?
From first stamping or last one?
My last one I got from state department by mail. The 'psot' is mentioned as 'DEPARTMENT'. So if the control# from the last visa, then
'Consulate Where Visa Was Issued' will be what? Department?

Just a silly question popped up in my mind...
Doesn't DOL have a directive telling employers, they have to try to recruit US Citizens first, and only if they do not find properly qualified US Citizens they can go on to search for people having 'other work authorizations' . Isn't that the whole basis for the approval of our Labor certifications in the first place???
So can the employers not use that directive as a legal loophole and try to prescreen the candidates and ask them whether they are US Citizens or GC or EAD or H1 and so on... as a hidden ploy to figure out whether you are GC or EAD while externally they can still put on a facade that they are just strictly following the legal directives that DOL has laid out?

All the fruits of July Fiasco are gone, if this is not stopped.
this is essential for everyone, especially in this economy.
this is something that works, coz its just letting the idiots know what they should be doing in the first place.
come on guys! 5 minutes and couple of $$, thats all it takes.

I'd posted a note earlier. I haven't received any updates yet. I am in contact with 4 other people who interviewed on 4th Jan and are still awaiting a reply. The kentucky number mentioned in one of the replys confirms the date on which our H1 was approved. When you call up the number, on mentioning your case #, it pulls up the date on which H1b was approved.
Could anyone who's received a email/ call please post a message to the group, indicating the wait time and date of the first interview?

I cannot renew my Driver's License if I don't have a valid work permit. I doubt whether the Receipt notice is enough for the Drivers License office to issue a new DL. I changed my employer and the new employer may ask for a new one. But I'm hoping that I might get one in less than 3 months. Let's see
I am in a similar situation. I applied just 95 days before. My lawyer "forgot" and I applied in a rush in the end. I am hoping it will not be a problem.
My understanding is that you will remain in status even if you do not have EAD or AP. However you cannot work.
I have a meeting with my lawyer on wednesday. I will be asking her about this. I am hoping for peace of mind that this does not become an issue.
