The flower campaign has been a spectacular success. Lets not dilute it or confuse it with food or pizza campaign. Lets the free flow of flower campaign contunue.
There is a symbolism of peaceful protest behind flowers, its universaly understood, what is the symbolism behind sending food, it might be misunderstood. Lets not overdo it.

What part do you want interpreted? It says in plain simple english that it is wating to be assigned to an officer.
You can take an infopass to find out if your case is pre-adjudicated, prints/name check are clear.

Guys:
Here is my scenario :
We have a 3 year extension( H1-B for myself) and (H4 for my wife) based on an approved I-140 valid till Feb'2010.
I am going to apply for I-485(both) next month and EAD for my wife.
My questions are :
A) Do I need to apply for EAD for myself ? If yes, what are the benefits ? Does it help to have an EAD, if I decide to change jobs using AC21 after 180 days of filing I-485 ? Or any other benefit ?
B) Do I need to apply for AP for both me and my wife ? Can't we travel and then get Visa stamped for 3 years (till 2010) based on the I-797 that I have ?
Do we have to use AP only if we want to travel, once we have filed I-485 ?

Here is the text that is in the I-9 Form:
"Anti-Discrimination Notice. IV members have saved you a lot of money on attorney phone calls, getting answers to medical test questions and other general questions. Please contribute to IV so that we can keep this effort going. While everybody is busy collecting documents and paperwork for 485, core IV again is doing there personal paperwork and + lobbying.
Please contribute, especially if you are new and never contributed. Please do not be a freeloader and get your questions answered and run away.

I received a response from the ombudsman. I am not sure if our issue is properly understood by his office. When we write about AC21 issues, the response talks about I-140 delays. Gurus, please help me understand the contents of the response below:

There are 37275 applications with PD of 2004 or earlier. Can we make an assumption that about 20 to 30% of these would try to port once economy turns around in the next 18 to 24 months? How will this impact wait time for a EB2 with PD Jan 2006?
I am really disappointed in the info provided via the foia effort. It told me that there are only 4118 applications before me. 4118 vs 28074. Worst kind of sick joke.
Based on the PD on my 140 Approval Notice (May-2004) there are 28074 applications before me. This is the correct date.
Based on the PD on my 485 Interview Notice (Aug-2007) there are 53192 applications before me.
I do not know how my application was counted when the data was put together.

Dont do it. Why? you might ask?
Just think, if you use a lawyer you might have to spend another 500 to 1500 bucks. But you will have a no problems in filing (especially with out errors).
We have spent thousands of dollars so far in getting a GC and at this stage dont mess up to save a few paltry bucks.
You may be finding that your lawyers are'nt approachable a this time. But this is the case with everyone, as they are getting hundreds of calls.
Get a lawyer, fill the application and leave blank and stick notes at which ever field you didnt understand. The lawyers will definitely look into the applications and file it quickly. make sure you tell your lawyer to use the overnight courier to file and bill you the same.

I have direct responses from Murthy and Rajiv Khanna now . Plus 2 other american lawyers I know. The answers have variations. I'm going to do my own research and would encourage others to do the same before coming to a conclusion on this.
If you have asked this question to your own lawyers about multiple I485 filing, please post them here.
Members can then look at all the information and make their own decisions.
I work for MSFT - I am a dependent on my husband's process (he works for another company), and I also have my own process filed, where he is my dependent.
When I asked if we could have 2 processes, the lawyer answered:
"There is no problem with you pursuing I-485 applications through the two companies since you and you husband have reverse roles in each process as principal beneficiary and dependent".
Hope this helps other people on the same situation.

Absolutely unbelievable-
Get this: A fingerprint check takes 24-48 hours but a name check takes upto 6 months!!! There are over 8 billion individuals on the planet, and how many have duplicate names? OK, now how many have similar names? And by the way, if you already have a fingerprint, why does name check take so long?
Reminds me of the scene in the recent Simpsons movie, where the government guy jumps up and shouts "Woo Hoo, we actually found someone we were looking for!". The bromide goes that truth is stranger than fiction, but it should be amended to "The truth is more idiotic that fiction".

Pls feel free to change the text of the letter and personalize it if you wish. If you wish to include your story and attach a photo copy of your degrees, patents, awards, please do so. Just make sure to include the provisions we are trying to push.
If you are handwriting the letter, your writing should be legible.. If nobody can read your writing, then it will defeat the purpose. Write the letter in such a way that the key points are easy to read. If you would like to use rules, bold text, highlighters etc... go ahead and do it.
We all need to be as creative as possible to make this campaign a success.

When I filed my I-485, the letter/job offer of my employer stated that the job will be open for me as soon as I get my green card. So when I get my EAD in 3 months, what am I going to do with it if I will not be working for my employer yet.
This is because the "green card" (GC) is based upon a future job offer. The person is not required to have worked for the GC-sponsoring employer prior to filing or obtaining the GC.
